All students enrolled in the following courses: MTH 131, 154, 161, 245, 261 & 264.
As part of the final exam, a course specific assessment, 2 to 3 questions for each learning outcome, is included to measure each student learning outcomes for quantitative literacy.
75% of the students will be rated as “competent”. A competent rating means at least 75% of the items on the assessment instrument were answered accurately.
85.05% of students received a competent rating.
Where do we go from here?
Findings are reviewed by the College’s General Education Committee every two-years. Action plans to address missed target outcomes were discussed in fall 2022. Although the target outcome was not met, the committee decided more data was needed before determining a plan of action for this outcome, particularly since much of the data was collected during the pandemic.
